Allen Proithis

Allen Proithis is a board director, technology executive, and strategic advisor with more than 30 years of experience building, scaling, and transforming communications and technology businesses. He is recognized for helping companies accelerate growth, commercialize emerging technologies, execute strategic transactions, and create long-term shareholder value across telecommunications, enterprise software, artificial intelligence, IoT, and private wireless.

Allen is Chief Executive Officer of Capstone Partners, Inc., where he advises boards of directors, private equity firms, investors, and executive leadership teams on growth strategy, mergers and acquisitions, commercialization, strategic partnerships, and value creation.

Most recently, Allen served as Chief Executive Officer and a member of the Board of Directors of GXC, a private enterprise 5G company. He transformed the business from a Department of Defense-funded university spinout into a commercially focused network-as-a-service provider, established strategic partnerships with Dell, Intel, and other industry leaders, and led the company's successful sale in 2025.

Previously, as founding President of Sigfox North America, Allen established the company as one of the leading low-power IoT network providers in the United States, expanding nationwide coverage to more than 70 million people and enabling large-scale enterprise IoT deployments. At InterDigital, he led the commercialization of a $700 million research and development portfolio, created and chaired a $155 million joint venture with Sony, and secured $15 million in funding to launch the company's first IoT software and analytics spinout. Earlier in his career at Hewlett-Packard, he led strategy and business development for HP's global smartphone business and launched the company's first worldwide mobile application marketplace.

Allen currently serves on the Board of Directors of FreeWave Technologies. He is the co-author of a chapter on enterprise IoT program development and implementation in Enterprise IoT, published by O'Reilly Media with contributions from Bosch, Machina Research, and Tech Mahindra. He is also co-inventor of a U.S. patent for digital advertising verification technology used in personalized multimedia delivery systems.

Allen earned a Bachelor of Arts in Telecommunications from Penn State University.
