With a fleet of 76 deployable assets ranging from Satellite Cell on Light Trucks to the FirstNet One Aerostat, FirstNet is prepared for hurricane season. These assets are pre-staged and available to respond when disasters strike.
The FirstNet Authority’s Public Safety Advocacy team works hand-in-hand with public safety to make sure their needs are represented in the FirstNet network buildout and evolution. In the West region, seven public safety advisors cover seven states and territories and multiple public safety disciplines. Together they bring a wealth of expertise to their roles as public safety advocates.
Made up of a string of five volcanic islands, American Samoa is located in the South Pacific Ocean halfway between Hawaii and New Zealand. Slightly larger than Washington,
On-island portable FirstNet cell sites are being added to three Pacific territories – American Samoa, Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands – to support first responders with priority and preemption capabilities during every day incidents, emergencies, and natural disasters like typhoons.
