Dave Buchanan interviews FirstNet Authority’s Harry Markley and Jeff King

PODCAST: FirstNet Authority to hit the road for IACP 2018 in Orlando

September 27, 2018

Each October, law enforcement leaders come together to attend several significant events that recognize the past year’s accomplishments and challenges, and work together to identify solutions and goals for the future. These events include the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exposition in conjunction with the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA) Fall Meeting and the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) Town Hall.

The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) is getting ready to hit the road to join the great discussions that will take place at these events in Orlando, FL from October 4-9, 2018!

In this edition of the Public Safety First podcast, host Dave Buchanan speaks with the FirstNet Authority’s Senior Advisor for Law Enforcement Harry Markley and Senior Director for Field Operations Jeff King in advance of IACP 2018. Listen as Harry and Jeff discuss their law enforcement careers and how FirstNet is changing the emergency communication landscape for thousands of law enforcement officials across the country.

The podcast explores what FirstNet is doing presently to support law enforcement by providing access to the latest emerging public safety technology that improves officer safety, efficiency and situational awareness in operations.

Harry and Jeff also provide an overview of the FirstNet Authority’s scheduled panels and presentations at IACP, MCCA and PERF. We have a great line up of law enforcement leaders from across the country joining FirstNet panels to discuss the importance of designing public safety technology with the first responder in mind – and technology that delivers concise and coherent life-saving information without delay.

The FirstNet Authority looks forward to seeing many colleagues and friends at IACP, MCCA and PERF. Stop by the FirstNet, Built with AT&T booth #2639 and join the FirstNet Authority at the following panels:
