During the International Association of Fire Chiefs’ (IAFC) Fire-Rescue International (FRI) ReIGNITE Virtual Conference, the FirstNet Authority will connect with other leaders and public safety professionals to exchange ideas about emerging technologies, products, and services available to the fire service during the COVID-19 pandemic and every day incidents.
From October 19-22, 2020, the IAFC-FRI conference will present an opportunity for public safety agencies to engage in real-time interactive sessions designed to spur critical thinking about ways to improve operations and management of new and emerging technologies in this new era of response.
The FirstNet Authority will take part in several panel discussions and presentations to provide insights into FirstNet, discuss the network’s capabilities, and answer questions about using public safety broadband. Our team of FirstNet Authority experts will participate during the following virtual IAFC-FRI presentations to discuss the latest on FirstNet status, progress and innovations:

The FirstNet Authority team will discuss how FirstNet’s expanded coverage supports the tools and techniques first responders need to receive information wherever they are located. More and more, first responders rely on more immediate access to data. This panel discusses how FirstNet’s reliable network connection supports the use of tablets, phones, and laptops, and augments coverage with satellite capabilities, drones, SatCOLTs, and Flying COWs.
