Fall is here and that means International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) Annual Conference and Exposition is near! This year’s event will be held in Chicago, IL from October 26-29, in conjunction with the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF) Town Hall and preceded by the Major Cities Chiefs Association (MCCA) Fall Meeting on October 24-26.
The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) team will be on site to discuss the FirstNet Authority Roadmap and provide updates on the latest developments with the FirstNet network. We will be hosting two panels to talk with law enforcement leaders about incorporating mobile broadband technology into operations and answering questions about the FirstNet network.

FirstNet Authority Senior Public Safety Advisor Bill Schrier will be joined by law enforcement leaders from the Mesa (AZ) Police Department, Portland (OR) Police Bureau, Honolulu (HI) Police Department, and Los Angeles (CA) Police Department to discuss the distribution of smart phones and tablets to patrol officers. This panel will discuss how the technology is used, including apps commonly utilized, and lessons learned by the agencies in implementing the new policies.
