The First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) and I are pleased to participate at NAEMT’s World Trauma Symposium. Each year we get the opportunity to learn from EMS practitioners about how they are leveraging FirstNet and other innovative technologies to advance trauma care for patients.
This year, the World Trauma Symposium, and the concurrently held EMS World Expo Virtual 2020, will offer a simulated online experience to connect thousands of EMS prehospital practitioners, paramedics, and trauma care practice experts to insights about the latest innovative technologies for patient care and to a wide variety of wired exhibitions displaying the most current EMS information. Our team will take part in the World Trauma Symposium to discuss how the FirstNet network is connecting emergency response officials to the information they need to make improved prehospital trauma care decisions.
As part of the World Trauma Symposium, I will host a virtual exhibit booth on September 14 and 15 from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. to answer questions and discuss your technology needs. Join me to hear how emergency physicians, paramedics and emergency medical technicians are using the FirstNet network’s added coverage and capacity to enhance patient care with advanced broadband tools.
We will discuss the latest EMS technologies that are bringing expert physician care to the field, including: patient monitoring technology to send vital signs to emergency physicians, smart ambulances that house point of care ultrasound and mobile stroke units, and drone programs that send defibrillators, medicine, or blood for faster treatment in remote locations.
I will be on hand to explain the network’s deployment status, expanding network access into rural areas, and the FirstNet Authority’s upcoming webinars. The FirstNet Authority uses the feedback we hear from public safety to guide our programs and investments, so if you are in the EMS field, use this opportunity to tell us what you are seeing.
In this virtual environment, the entire FirstNet Authority team and I remain committed to being available to discuss any topics that may arise from the conference, about EMS technologies or how to connect your agency to FirstNet. Please be sure to reach out to me directly any time at brent.williams@firstnet.gov to learn more about how the FirstNet Authority can support your operational and technical needs.
