What is a FirstNet Deployable?

FirstNet deployables boost coverage in the aftermath of disasters, during large planned events or incidents, or in remote areas — and are available to subscribers 24/7 at no extra cost. These mobile cell sites link to FirstNet via satellite, do not rely on commercial power availability, and provide similar capabilities and connectivity as a cell tower. The deployables program is unique to FirstNet. Learn more at FirstNet.gov/deployables.

A Public Safety Perspective

FirstNet is more than just a network— it’s a lifeline for first responders. But how does the FirstNet Authority ensure it stays in tune with their needs? Hear from public safety leaders Assistant Chief Chris Lombard, Chief (Ret.) Harlin McEwen, and State Coordinator Shawn Talmadge to learn how The Public Safety Advisory Committee (PSAC), a group of diverse public safety experts, ensures the network’s evolution is shaped by the professionals who depend on it when it matters most.
