Mr. Alvord has more than 20 years of experience leading high-impact programs within the U.S. Department of Commerce. Mr. Alvord joined the First Responder Network Authority (FirstNet Authority) in 2024 as the senior executive overseeing external affairs. An independent agency within the U.S. Department of Commerce’s National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA), the FirstNet Authority oversees FirstNet, the nation’s broadband network dedicated to the public safety community. Mr.

Austin Turner has served as the Chief of the Commerce Branch at OMB since 2020. In this role he works with the Department of Commerce, Small Business Administration, Federal Communications, and other related agencies to develop and execute the President’s Budget. Austin received his bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his master’s in public administration from New York University.
