AT&T announced a new FirstNet cell site during a special event in Hagerstown, Maryland that featured federal and county officials, local public safety personnel, business leaders, and representatives from AT&T. This new site is part of AT&T and the FirstNet Authority’s 10-year, $8+ billion investment commitment into the FirstNet network – including launching 1,000 new cell sites to further expand the reach of public safety’s dedicated Band 14 spectrum across the country by the end of 2025.

In Wisconsin, Winnebago County has adopted FirstNet, a broadband communication network dedicated to first responder use. The FirstNet network will help improve the county’s communication capabilities and public safety services across its departments, including the Sherriff’s Office. With this initiative in place, the county is now equipped with cutting-edge tools, a secure network, and guaranteed priority access to help streamline their operations.

Superior Ambulance has adopted FirstNet to strengthen paramedic communications and data sharing. The service has outfitted its emergency vehicles with FirstNet-enabled devices, facilitating secure and efficient data transmission between their medical professionals. The partnership will enhance public safety services across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, and Wisconsin.

The Los Angeles Police Department, one of the biggest police departments in the country, is modernizing its communications and issuing FirstNet devices to all of its almost 10,000 officers.

First responders in the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) are benefitting from FirstNet. Now with FirstNet, LAPD is equipping officers with new tools, expanded capabilities, and reliable access to critical information while in the field, allowing the department to better serve those who live, work, and visit Los Angeles.

Officers and public works personnel in Morris, Illinois, now have access to new capabilities and reliable network access with FirstNet. The network provides responders with interoperability and connectivity in the field.

FirstNet is bringing dedicated network services to officers with the Calexico Police Department in California. Features on FirstNet built for public safety ensure officers can communicate and connect to the resources they need.

The New York Power Authority successfully piloted FirstNet to support operations at the Blenheim-Gilboa's Pumped Storage Power project. The network ensures communications are available when public safety needs connectivity most.

Lineman and employees with Oklahoma Electric Cooperative are using FirstNet to connect to each other, access reports, and provide mapping while responding to natural disasters and everyday emergencies.

Police officers and public works personnel in Burr Ridge, Illinois, are now connected to FirstNet, providing public safety an interoperable platform to communicate with other agencies and jurisdict

DHR Health’s Level 1 Trauma Center in Texas joined FirstNet as an Extended Primary User. Doctors, nurses, and other DHR Health personnel will have always-on priority on the network, allowing them to communicate during every emergency.

 

FirstNet is bringing enhanced connectivity to emergency responders supporting 15 Air Force bases across the country. Priority and preemption for voice, data, and streaming video capabilities will ensure responder personnel can communicate and share critical information..

FirstNet is bringing first responders across Indiana County in Pennsylvania access to advanced tools and technology, helping agencies communicate more efficiently and share critical information. A FirstNet cell site was also turned on in the county, bringing enhanced coverage so responders can access the resources they need, when and where they need them.

The Boise Fire Department in Idaho acquired a Compact Rapid Deployable, giving the agency on-demand access to enhanced coverage when and where it’s needed. The asset and FirstNet’s reliable, dedicated connection will help the agency navigate emergencies and disasters, from wildfires to every day incidents.

The Washington Military Department joined FirstNet, giving its disaster response and emergency management teams a dedicated, reliable broadband connection. The Washington Military Department also has on-the-go coverage wherever they need it with a Compact Rapid Deployable. This asset helps emergency management teams connect with other first responders during incidents.

Paramedics with Bangs Ambulance in New York experienced cellular service dead zones throughout the rural Finger Lakes region. With FirstNet, the agency is taking advantage of capabilities like high-power user equipment, ensuring personnel have more reliable connectivity to send vital information to local hospitals. 

Personnel with the Los Angeles Fire Department and County Department of Public Health in California are using FirstNet-enabled devices to better serve residents and visitors to the Los Angeles region. In addition to routers, modems, and smartphones, the agencies are utilizing an Internet of Things system solution on the network to help detect radiation and HAZMAT incidents.

The Central Massachusetts EMS Corp. (CMEMSC) provides support to state and local jurisdictions, EMS system providers, and hospitals through dispatch services, education, and technical assistance. With FirstNet, CMEMSC is enhancing their ability to communicate and track assets, such as sprayers used to disinfect ambulances and hospital facilities to protect against the spread of COVID-19.

Whether it’s during a football game with 100,000 fans or everyday emergencies, officers with the Penn State University Police and Public Safety in Pennsylvania need the ability to communicate. The agency made the switch to FirstNet to equip officers with advanced tools and reliable connectivity, preparing officers for any incident.

Officers with the City of Dallas Police Department are now connected to FirstNet. With connectivity in in-vehicle routers and on department-issued phones, officers have access to tools like push-to-talk and applications that increase situational awareness, helping them better serve their community.
